Go Pineapple crazy with the Perfect Patchwork Templates from Marti Michell!  Cut strips the appropriate width and then cut the pieces to the exact size and shape using the Pineapple Ruler.  Use the triangle template to cut the center and corner pieces.   Sew the pieces and press as you go.  There is very little waste with this method.
